REDESIGNED 2018 CHEVY TRAVERSE NOW AVAILABLE AT VICKAR COMMUNITY CHEVROLET
The redesigned for 2018 Traverse has begun arriving at Vickar Community Chevrolet and, says general manager Don LaChance, the popular midsize SUV is selling almost as fast as the vehicles are arriving.
There are more models arriving daily, Lachance says.

“I took a new Traverse for a drive,” Lachance says. “It was more nimble than its predecessor with a very quick response.”
He notes that the redesigned interior is beautiful. “The designers did a wonderful on the interior and especially the layout. The ergonomics are terrific.”
The 2018 Traverse is the same size as its predecessor and has similar capacity. It still has best-in-class maximum cargo space and offers seating for up to eight passengers - with an enhanced list of standard conveniences, storage, and other comforts.
Lachance notes that there are three new trim levels available – the sporty RS – with black bowtie emblems, black ice grille, 20” dark Android-painted aluminum wheels, gloss black window trim and black roof side rails – and the top-of-the-line High Country that is equipped with every safety and convenience package that the Traverse has to offer.
Lachance also singles out the new Redline Edition that is available with the Premium trim. The Redline Edition has some of the same features as the RS with red accents added to the wheels, a red outline around the bowtie emblems and black badging, dark tail lamps and black-painted lower moldings with black ice inserts.

“The RS and the Redline Edition look gorgeous,” Lachance says.
Most trims are powered by a 3.6L V-6 engine that puts out 305 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The RS trim has FWD and a turbocharged 2L 4 cylinder powertrain that produces 255 hp and 295 lb-ft. of torque. All trims are equipped with GM’s new nine-speed automatic transaxle and an engine stop/start system both of which improve fuel economy.
